Thank god for my wife, I love her to death, but this week she is literally a goddess. I have a reserved tee time at Desert Mountain – Cochise (a Jack Nicklaus course) with some buddies from my college years. We’ve kept in touch over the years and we’d planned this weekend for almost a year, I did NOT want to cancel, but my golfer’s back was causing no end of problems. We’d planned a guy’s weekend; playing golf, spinning tales, telling lies and betting (keep that quiet) on who’d win the next hole.

People that don’t know the game of golf well may not always understand that there is more to the game than just driving a tiny ball to a tiny hole far away. One of the great things about the game is just being outside enjoying nature on great golf courses all around the world. It is fun to golf on a familiar course in your home town where you know those greens like you know the back of your and. But golf also has a call to adventure to get out and enjoy golf courses in another location either in the next town or across the globe.

A great help to anyone starting the game of golf is the example of people who are good at it about how to play the game and particularly how to execute a good drive. And when a new golfer watches the pros play, often the thing that is most desirable in their style of play is that very powerful swing and the fast drive that they can use to make that golf ball disappear into the air. So the goal of making your own swing reach a level that you can drive with not only precision but that much power is often at the top of a new golfers list. And having a great golf swing high on your priority list is appropriate because one of the pieces of equipment that is perfect for the new golfer is the golf training club which is focused entirely on a powerful swing.
