There is a commonly held belief that golf is the pastime-cum-sport of well-off entrepreneurs and businessmen. It is also seen as being an elite sport and not easily accessible to regular blue collared employees. However, this is not really true as modernization and commercialization have brought these so-called posh sports into the reach of ordinary workers.

This is because there is no need to acquire sophisticated equipment to have a game. Unlike big game fishing and polo which need a lot of resources eg a boat or a horse respectively, golfers just need a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable. With this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and aspiring golfers are easily thought of.

Have you played in a 27-hole golf course constructed according to Jack Nicklaus design? If you have, then it could only have been at the Breckenridge Golf Club. The Jack Nicklaus designed course opened in 1985 with 18 holes. Its successful operation made the town officials decide to expand the course with nine holes, which was named The Elks Nine. The expansion, constructed at a higher elevation than the first 18 holes made Breckenridge Golf Club more prestigious.

There is a commonly held belief that golf is the exclusive realm of well-off entrepreneurs and businessmen. It is also still perceived as an excluding sport that is not easily accessible to regular blue collared employees. However, this is not really true any more as modernization and commercialization have brought these so-called posh sports into the reach of everyone.

This is because there is no necessity to have expensive equipment to play a round, so, unlike big game fishing and polo which require very costly resources like a boat or a horse respectively, golfers only require a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable. With this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and would-be golfers can be easily dreamed up.

Rings have been worn by men for many millennium. Wedding bands and other styles of finger jewelry have served several useful purposes through the ages. Archers wore rings to protect their fingers when pulling bowstrings.

Men of power would wear rings to signify their status and to signify their crest for wax sealing documents. These practices are not used anymore and rings have been relegated to style and fashion. But there are still some utilitarian uses for rings in the modern day.

It has never easy asking for help, but in golf, it is practically a necessity. Unfortunately, we often ask our friends and partners, when in reality we should take a lesson or two with a professional, usually called the Club Pro.

We may think that a Pro would criticize too harshly, but they are honest, positive and usually very helpful.

Golf lessons at the local golf course arent as expensive as you probably think and they are worth it too, because your game will get better more quickly thus causing you less aggravation, making playing golf much more fun for you.

Perhaps you find it difficult to see the ball when playing golf in bright light conditions despite wearing your usual sunglasses? Then it is time to improve your visual acuity and your game by investing in specialist sunglasses for golf.

Perhaps you may have spent a lot of time and money improving your game only to find when playing against someone else who perhaps have better vision than you, that you are at a disadvantage. For many golfers, it’s natural to exchange gifts with their golfing buddies once in a while. Golfers love golf memorabilia or any kind of golf equipment, collectibles, and golf apparel. But golf gifts are popular for those that dont have time to play golf, and they are popular ideas for business clients and co-workers. Unique golf memorabilia items give you a variety of gift ideas for those who love golf but don’t have time to play or those that are interested in the game, but are not confident enough to play it.

Used Golf GPS Systems

by Jon Adams

Buying a pre-owned golf GPS unit can be a sensible decision if you want to improve your golf game without spending a lot of money. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying a used system unless of course it is broken or not functioning properly.

You should be equipped with at least a basic knowledge of golf GPS units before you make your purchase. These units vary depending on the many features and uses. The seller should be able to disclose all the features, including some minor defects if there are any. Make sure to research the newer models so that you can have a point of comparison.

There are lots of benefits to choosing to use a golf cart instead of walking between holes on the court. Of course, using one without irritating other golfers can be tricky. Let’s take a look at some of the advantages of choosing to use a cart, and how to do it politely.

The greatest advantage of using a cart, of course, is that it eliminates the need to walk. Golf courses are often quite large. Even if you’re in good shape, it’s easy to become fatigued if you have to carry your clubs and bags all over the course. A golf cart will help you conserve your energy for your golf game, and you can carry more equipment if you use a cart.

Just like any other activity played for the first time, you need to know some things before you can actually swing your golf club. These courses need not come from Tiger Woods or from your treasured experience in the US Open. A few easy things will suffice.

Of course, you need to know your best friend – your club. Just like a tennis racket or a baseball bat, this defines your sport. A golf club is made of metal strong enough to unleash your power even if you make a gentle swing. Since it is your best friend, you need to give a part of you to have it. Buying your own club is actually second in expense next to your membership in a golf country club.
