Since the day Cuban cigars were discovered, they have enjoyed a healthy growth with period of slowness every once in a while. That is just a natural curve for things, you go up, you come down, you stay steady for a while, you get the idea. Cuban cigars once professionally packaged, were ready to go right off the bat. You would just open a cuban cigar box of your favorite Montecristo cigars or what not and go from there. Sometimes you would share them with a rest of your friends, sometimes you would simply keep them to your yourself.

I think this is where they discovered the art of aging a Cuban cigar. No one really knows, but most good things are discovered by accident. So is the case here, especially when it comes to an aged fine Cuban cigar. Cuban cigars taste great fresh from their case, but if you store them for a few years (Just like wine), you will have something incredible on your hands. This is why the Cuban cigar brand Cohiba is considered the top of the line cigar in the world. Before the actual construction of the cigar, the tobacco leaves used are aged for sometime.

The great thing here is once you let them sit for a few years, they get better with age. The complex flavors are truly a treat to anyone’s palette. The best way to age your Cuban cigar is by getting a humidor. It is basically a box that controls the temperature within, which is a must if you want to preserve your cigars. You see, Cuban has been blessed with some perfect climate to grow the best tobacco in the world. No other country even comes close. Combine perfect temperature with an art that goes back centuries, and you have something truly worthy on your hands.

However, don’t be disheartened because Cuban cigar humidors vary when it comes to prices and today they are very affordable. It all depends on what your needs are and how many Cuban cigars you smoke. If you smoke a few a month, get a portable humidor. This way your cigar travel with you and you can easily carry like 3 – 5 sticks. If you are looking for a humidor and a nice piece of furniture, than why not try a table humidor? Some of them are truly art pieces and will bring your existing living room to life. Plus with a table humidor, your Cuban cigars will always be ready for people who you want to show to like your friends and family.

So get started with a little cheap humidor such as a portable humidor and work your way up. Honestly, it all depends on your needs. If you like the one that you currently have than just make sure you maintain it properly. The rest will follow including some great tasting Cuban cigars.

So what holds that Cuban cigar of yours intact. You know the actual layer to the most outside of a Cuban cigar? That oily wrapper (At least it’s suppose to be a little oily if it’s a good cigar)is what is outside of the binder. Yes the construction of Cuban cigars is a art on it’s own.

It takes a decent amount of time to completely finish a Cuban cigar and have it all ready to go. Their are so many little things that need to be taken care of such as the wrapper and binder.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but only true Cuban cigar aficionados like you and I know how amazing Cuban cigars truly are. The binder is not bunch of ropes or microscopic threads situated in the middle of the Cuban cigar. The binder is also a half of the single leaf. Most people think that the binder is just another material but no not at all.

“Torecdores” or Cuban cigar rollers are well respected individuals and rightfully so. Rolling Cuban cigars is an art form that only the truly gifted can master. When you get a chance to go to Cuba, you must drop by at a Havana factory and see the miracle for yourself. It is simply mind blowing the sophistication behind each single Cuban cigar.

If the Cuban cigar wrapper is flawed, the whole Cuban cigar is considered a bad cigar. Each Cuban cigar model has it’s own science behind the wrapper they construct and use for their Cuban cigars. Let us consider ourselves grateful that we are living in a time where we can enjoy Cuban cigars and the beauty it represents.

A Cuban cigar brand name that is shared by two organizations, the H. Upmann brand is one of the most sought after popular Cuban cigars around. One organization is located in Cuba and the other in the Dominican. However, don’t be confused because the only thing they have in common is the name. The H. Upmann from Cuba is one of the best cigars you can smoke.

Starter by two brothers who moved from Europe to Havana, the H.Upmann brand is shrouded by various stories on how it began. Almost like the Cohiba brand, their is definitely some mystery behind this one. After all, it is one of the top selling Cuban cigar brands of all time. Trailing only the Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo Y Julieta and Partagas. It doesn’t matter to me how it began, I’m just glad that it did.

Regardless of where this particular cigar company had it’s roots, it is one of the more popular brands of cigar that is available throughout the world and is enjoyed by many cigar smokers because of its unique taste that is generally described as as being mild to medium. Many of the H. Upmann cigars are now machine rolled although it is still possible to find some varieties that are hand rolled in the traditional way.

Regrettably, most people in the United States or the ‘unfortunate’ cigar aficionados as I refer to our friends down south, were never able to experience the true completeness of a real H. Upmann from Cuba. Dominican republic version of the H. Upmann brand can be easily obtained but it comes no where close to the precise might of a H. Upmann Cigar. It is all because of the trade embargo that was set that has kept our American friends from trying not just the H. Upmann but various models of Cuban cigars. A embargo set by a fellow Cuban cigar lover, John F Kennedy.

A Cuban cigar that has brings another unique flavor and touch to the Cuban cigar genre, the H. Upmann is a cigar that belongs in the hands of the wealthy, the self-made and the powerful. If you are a powerhouse that has an effect on everyone around you, an H. Upmann belongs to you. One of the best tasting Cuban cigars around for sure.

Me and Cuban cigars go back like baseball and Babe Ruth. We are just meant to be and I have a history that can back that claim up really good. In fact, it will guarantee that I am meant to share my love of Cuban cigars with everybody. You see, I came to this planet through a family who has been smoking Cuban cigars for like four generations. I must say that it truly is a blessing to be part of a family like that. The word unique can describe me fully and especially my Cuban cigar smoking situation.

It all started when I was 14 years old playing with my cousins. I noticed my dad and my grandpa would get together every Friday and have a pipe like thing in their mouth with smoke coming out of it. They would often have very long conversations that would range in emotions but mostly seemed like good times. That somewhat decent size pipes in their mouth later turned out to be Cuban cigars.

Yes one thing is undeniable about Cuban cigars is the smell. The mixtures of chocolate, pepper and vanilla can pierce through anyone’s heart and soul. You have to understand I was just a kid back than plus watching my whole family get together over a few Cuban cigars just made it extra special. I guess you can say it was a very fine excuse for everyone to come together and have a great time.

However, Cuban cigar smoking wasn’t something I observed just between my dad and grandpa. It was something that all the boys did in our family including a few occasional puffs by the women every now and than. Every Tuesday’s and Thursdays Uncle Johnny and Sean will drop by with their family and kids and they would run off to the living room with glasses of Scotch. Soon they would be all siting around in wooden chairs with some light music playing in the background going on and and about their days.

The best place to have a Cuban cigar party is at our house and more importantly with our family. You will find the best Cuban cigar models and you will be absolutely delighted, guaranteed.

I guess you can say that smoking Cuban cigars was simply my destiny. I mean I grew up in a family of third generation Cuban cigar smokers. Their not many of us. Plus the ones that are, they are not into Cuban cigars. After all, it is a pleasure that is reserved for only the selected few. Yes thanks to my bloodline, it wasn’t long that when I personally got started into smoking Cuban cigars, I was hooked just like the rest of my family. I guess you can say that smoking Cuban cigars is part of our heritage.

I have to tell you, I got started with Cuban cigar smoking at a very young age. Me and my little cousins we got started smoking Cuban cigars in our teenage years and have never looked back. We don’t smoke cigarettes, just Cuban cigars. Not a bad way of doing things I must say. It’s fun, you get to hang out with your family and friends, and just a have a great time over all. Isn’t that what life is all about, great times all around?

What caught my attention was the aromas and the smell that filled the room when thy lit those cigars up. It was almost quite heavenly and appealing to me. Of course watching my grandpa and dad have a great time together added to the whole scene of enjoyment. It was nice to see how smoking Cuban cigars brought peace and happiness to all the boys in my family. It was almost magical and very peaceful to watch.

However, Cuban cigar smoking wasn’t something I observed just between my dad and grandpa.
One of the most popular Cuban cigars of all time, mentioned in countless movies, tv shows and pretty much all over the world, the Montecristo Cuban cigar made Cuban cigars international on a global level. Started in the year nineteen thirty five by ‘Garci’ as they called him, the Montecristo line up produces one of the best Cuban cigars known to man. It also happens to be quite a treat but we will definitely get to that later.

The Montecristo brand is the most available Cuban cigar or in another words I guess, the most popular one. It was only after Cohiba brand was introduced that the Montecristo’s popularity fell to number two. The construction and the variety of flavors that can be found in this brand is truly amazing and one of the finest hand rolled Cuban cigars ever created in history of not just Cuba but the world.

The variety this brand offers is very inviting to the young or new cigar enthusiast. Montecristo offers hand rolled and even machine rolled cigars. What do I prefer? Hand rolled of course. I mean I’ve been smoking Cuban cigars for almost 10 years now so I have my own certain preference. For you, if you are a new comer, that if your Montecristos are machine rolled, that is actually not bad and it will help you further understand and appreciate this legendary brand.

This has led rise to some rumors that the Montecristo number 4 is what the company uses to train its amateur rollers. Regardless of the possibility that this may be true, it is still the top of the Montecristo cigars and is enjoyed by many, the world over. Frankly, it is the top selling Cuban cigar of all time right after the Cohiba. Before the Cohiba brand was introduced, the Montecristo use to be number one.

Although this particular cigar generally gives a great smoke with a lot of unique taste, it is also reported that there are inconsistencies at times, even within a particular box. Regardless of what anyone says, the Montecristo will always be a great cigar.

Now why would that matter or what does it has to do with the Montecristo Cuban cigar brand? Well the name ‘Montecristo’ came from a novel that was very interesting to Cuban cigar rollers back in 1935. Soon Mr. Garcia the producer of Cuban cigars started calling his production line ‘Montecristo’.

Since that time, Montecristo cigars have become one of the most popular cigars that are available throughout the entire world and it is held by many to be the standard as far as Cuban cigars are concerned. To be certain, any other Cuban cigars are judged by the Montecristo. The original Montecristo cigars continued to be manufactured and hand rolled for many years without anything new really being added to the brand.

Montecristo also offers a lot machine rolled cigars now which I guess can contribute to it’s decline in popularity. People like the rare and exotic notion that is attached to Cuban cigars and machine rolled cigars really don’t help. However, I understand it as the machine rolled Cuban cigars are very light in taste and great for beginners trying to step into the Cuban cigar genre to expand their horizons and senses. Remember though that the hand rolled version of Montecristo Cuban cigars are still considered one of the best cigars in the world.

Montecristo cigars have also stepped away from the hand rolled tradition to a certain extent and have added three different machine rolled cigars into the mix, the mini, the Purito and the club. Of all of the Montecristo cigars that are in existence, however, the Montecristo number 4 is not only the best-known cigar that is rolled by this company, it is the world’s best-selling cigar.

If you like a mild to strong cigars but prefer the best in quality, the Montecristo is for you. This brand of Cuba offers a variety of models that will satisfy anyone’s needs. You just can’t beat a Cuban cigar and you can’t beat a Montecristo.

History of tobacco is just as old as when civilization started developing and started making things happen. It could have been as old the bronze age but unfortunately people didn’t write what they did – even languages weren’t discovered back than. It’s funny how sometimes good things just find a way to get in our lives and tobacco is one of them. Since it’s inception, every country and group of people have embraced this product. Yes critics say that tobacco companies are exploiting this product and consumers but lets talk about the good ol days. When tobacco smoke was considered heavenly, and I’m talking about real tobacco, not mixed with crap like cigarettes.

Hailing from the continents known to us as the Americas, the region where the best cigar in the world is grown. When tobacco was first introduced, no body was aware of the devastating long term implications it will have on the rest of humanity – all thanks to cigarettes. Within just a few years smoking spread like wildfire in Europe and soon all the way to China. Everyone was creating their own special pipes to smoke tobacco leaves and this explosion made people realize that they have something important on their hands.

Today we call this cigar smoking kids and it quickly became a hit with the upper class of the society. This is where Cuban cigars and the rollers of the Cuban cigars established themselves as the best in the world and a force to be reckon with. No matter where in the world you go, if their is a cigar smoker, he or she will either be smoking a Cuban cigar, or wishing that they were smoking Cuban cigars.

So in general, Cuban cigars are the selected individuals or groups in society. These are well established people who prefer the best of the best. This is what a Cuban cigar represents because their no form of tobacco consumption than a Cuban cigar. No wonder Cuban cigar exports bring in Cuba’s largest chunk of overall revenue. Cubans love their Cuban cigars and we love them just as much.

They have a tradition that goes back hundreds of years and they have mastered this art. When you are getting a Cuban cigar my friend, you are getting the best. That is just how it works and that is how you should roll. If you want the best in life, just like you deserve, than get a Cuban cigar immediately my friend, you deserve it.

The mystery behind the origin might be a good marketing tactic to utilize it’s promotion, but it is the great taste and very unique I might add that has established into a Cuban cigar powerhouse. Overall taste or the range of cigars that are produced by this brand has soft to medium flavor. Since they produce so many different types of cigars, you can find hand rolled (Which real Cuban cigar smokers prefer) and machine rolled mini cigars too.

Because of the trade embargo that exists between Cuba and the United States, most people who live in the United States are never able to experience a true H. Upmann cigar. It is interesting to note, however, that there are some rumors that John Kennedy had his press secretary order him a large supply of H. Upmann cigars on the night before the trade embargo went into effect. This shows you the popularity of this particular cigar and if you ever have the opportunity to try one for yourself, you would no doubt agree that it is one of the better smokes that are available.

Again, this is one those prestigious Cuban cigar brand that has it’s own strong following. People love the H. Upmann cigars and the people who do are mostly famous. The fans of this brand range from politicians, celebrities and people who hang out with them. The H. Upmann brand, especially over the years, have carved it’s very own niche and rightfully so. The Cuban cigars produced by this brand are exquisite.

It was Alvarez Y Garcia’s organization that first started making Romeo Y Julieta Cigars and he was just keeping it for local distributions. Originally, the Romeo Y Julieta cigars were never meant for anyone outside of Cuba. Although the Cubans are known to be excellent marketers (Considering the Cigar ban and stuff), the Romeo Y Julieta brand was just not allowed to go out at all. It’s funny because now they are all over the place.

The man was “Pepin” who legend has it was never seen sitting as he was always making things happen. They say the man only slept when his body just couldn’t perform anymore and was totally exhausted. Pepin single handedly took the Romeo Y Julieta brand, after buying it’s selling rights to a level no one ever imagined. His Cuban cigars are now sold in almost every corner of the globe. The amazing story is that it all happened in just a few years before the internet or the computer ever came around.

Carrying nothing but pure love for Havana cigars and ‘Gung Ho’ drive to share his love with the world, “Pepin” let the world know about his Cuban cigars in the shortest time possible. He went straight to the people who were well respected and had the means to enjoy his product, he took this Cuban cigars to England. By using a very ingenious technique of naming his Cuban cigars after royal faces of England, he established the cash flow required to turn the Romeo Y Julieta brand into a global force.

Pepin was caught daily calling his creation as his ‘children’. It signifies the deep love he carried for the Romeo Y Julieta brand. His product was a phenomenal hit with politicians and actors and actresses alike. He used the power of celebrity to market the Romeo Y Julieta brands which made them ever so rare and unique in the eyes of other established individuals of that time and era.

Presently, the Romeo and Julieta brand pushes Cuban cigars for every occasion and are most preferred by Englishman. It is obviously the Shakespheare syndrome as they call it that makes it the most popular Cuban cigar brand in England and almost the rest of Europe. The Romeo and Julieta brand represents passion and deep love but most importantly, it is one fine Cuban cigar that has captured the world’s heart. All thanks to one great man, Pepin.
