« Shopping for a Golf Club Set that will Boost Your Golf Scores   To Excel You Must Develop Your Mental Game of Golf »

Many new golfers have the thought of fixing their slice. Statistics have shown that more than 80% of all new golfers have a slice problem. Now, you can find so many training aids and drills to correct the golf slice that I can’t even count them.

Have you spent any money on training aids or guides to fix your slice? Have you bought into one of those miracles guides just to still have the slice problem? Do you know what is actually messing your game?

A golf slice is caused by the club-face coming across the ball from outside the target line, creating side-spin on the ball. Upon first thought, this may seem like a mechanical issue. And it is…but if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find it’s a ‘physical’ issue.

You must know that what commands your ability to swing the club with adequacy is your body. So, if you have a physical disability or limitation, you are to have mechanical issues with your swing and the faults will show.

If you have a lack of correct mechanics in your body, this will instantly mess your game. Here’s why. If you are not capable of making a turn of 90 degree, you will immediately do whatever it takes to complete a turn or at least feel like you are making one.

Looking for a good example of this case would be to turn your hips beyond the 45 degrees that gives you access to make a full back-swing. What this does is that it robs you of capability. You have absolutely no torque in you to release into the ball at impact.

It is the same thing with a golf slice

A golf slice is nothing more than the result of your upper body going ahead of your lower body. That creates what they call “an over-the-top” motion. This results in the club-face cutting the ball making a side-spin. That is what we know as the banana ball.

Your number one option might be to take a class to fix it. Then, if that is of no help at all, you buy a training aid. If you see zero improvement, then you purchase an offset driver to help to fix your golf slice.

Does it look familiar to you?

The real solution! Forget about your lessons. Stop buying training aids. And also maintain your normal driver in your bag.

You must work your rotational ability. It is that simple. The moment you are able to separate your upper and lower body, you will see your golf slice improve greatly.

Make Sense?

As you fix your slice, you will add about 30 yards to your drives. You will get more roll when the ball lands from a draw flight. A golf slice is nothing more than a shot that does not go well into the air for maximum distance.
