« Cheap Kayak – Buy Best Cheap Kayak on Sale   Learn How To Perform A Perfect Swing From An Online Golf Swing Video »

by Howard Mark

I have been searching for a driver better then my current one, a perfect driver if you will. I can now say my searching is over since I have tried a R580XD. How can you say this you may ask? Well I have tried Ping G5,Titleist 905R, Taylormade R5 and the Ben Hogan Big Ben CS3 drivers and personally R580XD is the best.

All were 9.5 with stiff flex shafts. I have played the Ben Hogan CS3 for the last 3 years. It was always consistant but tended to be a higher ball flight and shorter distance than I cared for. I just lived with knowing I could put it in the fairway but not be as long as I should.

That whole experience is in the past now since I bought the R580XD at Edwin Watts for 99 dollars and it was new. My previous driver I bought new was the R5 neutral bias. For the past few years I have not used a Taylormade but now I was happy to gain one in my bag!

My drives have increased by 20 plus yards now and that is without sacrificing the accuracy. Rather than the ball in a balloon effect in the Hogan it now flies high/mid. Another great thing about this driver is hitting the sweet spot and the sound that is made.

I now spend lots of time playing golf rather than searching endlessly online for a driver. When you do get a problem with your taylormade, the customer service you get when you call is amazing. This is not to say Taylormade products are full of faults but things do happen.

On the first issue, the “Neutral” decal fell off the driver. I happened to run across the Taylormade rep. at our local golf store. I showed him what happened and within a few days I had a new driver in my hands. On the second occasion a “glow ball” golf ball dented the face of the driver, those balls are as hard as a rock…FYI don’t used your good clubs to hit these balls!
