Ping iWi Craz-E Putter Designed for Low to Mid Handicap Golfers
Posted by George Statos in Golf Books
The Ping iWi Craz-E putter is the latest addition to Ping line of putters. These putters were designed by Ping engineers with low to mid handicap players in mind. Ping’s iWi series offers 6 putter models which are all available for both left and right handed players, and the Craz-E is one of them. This putter also comes with two stock 12 gram stainless steel sole weights. The head weight is 370g and is also face balanced.
Pros:
1. Designed for low to mid range handicaps. These customization options help to benefit users of the Ping iWI Craz-E putter.
2. The putter offers a lot of confidence for players and the face is long with a large insert. You will have an easy time lining up your putts with this one.
3. The Craz-E is also one of the comfortable putters as it comes with an effective grip in a default blue color.
4. The putter itself is forgiving across the face and is quite accurate on the short putts.
Negatives:
1. The iWi Craz-E putters have interchangeable weight inserts, but the only disadvantage is that they optional weight kit that offers two 20-gram or two 28-gram tungsten weights is sold separately at a pretty steep prices. This means that you would have to spend extra money in order to get up to nine different weight combinations.
2. Another negative factor with the Ping iWi Craz-E putter is the overall appearance which lacks in tradition.
3. The putter also comes off the face a bit quickly, but this is something that can be controlled. The replaceable grip is also a bit think for some players.
The overall feel of the Ping Craz-E seems to be a bit harsh off the face and is more difficult to get consistent distance with the long range putts.
